Hi everybody, this summer my beloved Hackintosh Leopard (retail install) left me because the system hard disk on which it was installed suddenly died.

Now I'm wondering how can I made a new retail installation of a new OSx on another hard disk from my pc: what about Lion or Snow Leopard? could I succeed in it in any way without having another OSx?

thanks guys

you have 2 options

use boot CD, (#####, etc) to boot Snow Leo (not Lion)

install, then proceed to your next levels. (post installation, upgrading to lion, etc)

other option, if you have windows installed you can try a virtual box and install osx there, and from there prepare a USB Lion installation

How couldn't I think of it! With "virtual box" you mean a virtual machine running under win, right?

Very helpful, thanks

p.s.: in case of failure, which boot cd would yuo advice for my plain P5K?
