After researching a bit online before starting, I've found that it's impossible to boot from a drive with a GUID partition on any Lenovo laptop. So, I spent my time going 10.6.3 -> 10.6.8 on a GUID partition table using the ##### 3 CD.

I finally got 10.6.8 installed, so I "restored" it to a flashdrive, then reformatted my laptop's drive to MBR. Then I "restored" the flash drive backup to the newly MBR formatted laptop drive. This should leave me with a working 10.6.8 install that should be bootable with an ##### CD.

Unfortunately, booting from the HDD results in this:

boot0: testing

boot0: error

What did I do wrong?

I've looked around and I'm pretty sure my OSX partition is set to active.

I have tried install Chimera 1.5.4 and 1.4.1, both have resulted in the same issue.

Is there something I'm missing?
