Hi,

i almost finished installing Lion on my Envy 14 Notebook, everything works except sleep.

Tried a SleepEnabler.kext of kexts.com, copied it to /E/E and ran KextUtility.

Sadly after chameleon i get imidiatly a KP because of this kext.

How can i tell chameleon to not use /E/E or a certain kext?

i dont have any other os on the system at the moment and dont want to burn a liveCD or put the HDD in my desktop pc.

What i have is a lion boot stick, if this could help me.

Thanks!

And sorry if this was asked often before, i googled but i couldnt find a answer, maybe just used the wrong words (no native speaker)

You can't. You have to access /Extra/Extensions from somewhere else and delete sleepenabler.kext. For example via Terminal when booted from your install media:

rm -rf /Volumes/[nameofpartition]/Extra/Extensions/SleepEnabler.kext

Then reboot with -f -v.

You can also try the PMVersion= flag at the Chameleon boot prompt, this may allow SleepEnabler to work. Use the forum search to find out more, I don't use sleepenabler.kext so I can't help with the details.

ah thanks im really kind of stupid sometimes.

i didnt know that the MacOS Installer mounts all internal drives, it was easy to navigate to the correct drive and delete the kext.

the PmVersion flag didnt help tho, tried some options found on the net but still crashes
