It is a G4 PowerPC emulator for Windows. It actually was based around PearPC source code which they used illegally. Thus CherryOS crumbled into obscurity and is now almost a form of vaporware. Others say it's a great G4 emulator. Personally, I really couldn't care less. But, i couldnt get cherry to work, although i downloaded the app. I read somewhere that the people at cherry copied alot of code from pear, and stuff. We speculated from the start this was a direct PearPC ripoff and in violation of the GPL. The company Arben worked for had already been proven to be lying cheating bastards with a previous product they made that ripped off GPL source. When we finally got ahold of the software we were able to produce output from it that was IDENTICAL to the output of PearPC. Orea Posted October 9, 2006 Share Posted October 9, 2006 I have used both pear pc and cherry os, and there so hard to configure with tiger,i gave up in the end! In pear pc, you had to make your own config files, or you cheat with pearpc control panel -- which didnt work for me any way! Pear pc is jst a small little program that runs on cmd Cherry os is a actual program that works, but not with tiger! -- everytime i try to install, i get the nice non-smoking symbol on top of the apple! either way i really dont emaluators!
