intelcoresolo320
Hello all, this is my first post here!! My system is as follows: Make/Model: Samsung RV510-A05UK CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.3 GHz Ethernet: Marvell Yukon 88E8040 Graphics: Intel GMA 4500MHD WiFi: Atheros (don't remember which - will update when I get to Windows) I used the method here to install a Dual Boot with Windows 7: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/dua...-os-x-snow.html To summarize, I put the ##### CD into the DVD drive, then after it loaded, I removed it and put the Snow Leopard Retail disk in its place (I have a Single Layer version). Then after the installer booted I formatted the hard drive into 2 partitions in the GUID partition layout. Next, I installed Windows 7 onto Partition 3 as in the guide I linked above. I then installed OSX, ran the COMBO updater to 10.6.8, and ran ##### with the ##### setting, and the MacBook Pro 6,1 System Profile, and the OSX Tools, and Voodoo 0.2.2 (the later version give problems with Microphone screaching). I added the following kexts: IntelGMA3100FB.kext Synaptics Touchpad Installer That gives correct resolution of 1366x768 (but no QE/CI, as this is not yet possible for GMA 4500 chips), and working touchpad. NOT WORKING: Sleep Battery Meter Wifi (I am using USB RTL8188SU instead) A full guide for installing Snow Leopard can be found here: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html ------------------------------------- To upgrade to Lion, Follow this tutorial: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/07/xmo...x-107-lion.html After booting into Lion install the attached kexts using #####: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewforum.php?f=125 these kexts give you working battery meter and info - remember to fully charge the battery in OSX to ensure it shows correct time info. Wifi still does not work, and graphics are stuck at 1024x768 after upgrade. If you have any idea how to get native res. on this laptop after Lion upgrade please post here.
