rakusson
Update: I manage to fix it by booting from Chameleon-2.1svn-r1446. Now, my lion (updated to 10.7.1) identifies my ATI card :-), see image attached hi, I am encountering strange problem. I installed Lion 10.7 using Chameleon RC5-R1393 (Package by Dr Hurt). At that time, I just got 3 MB of display and 1024 x 768 resolution. I downloaded next for ATI Radeon HD5470 from kext.com (at least it was said for HD 5470). However, it didn't work. Then I came across this tutorial about EDID and did exactly like said. EDID Fix Then I boot with AtiConfig=Eulemur and I got my native resolution of 1366 x 768 and Lion recognized my graphics card. but then I tried to fix my sound and did something with AppleHDA next (as far as I remember), when I reboot back, the graphics was gone I tried to remove those kexts but couldn't do it. I also tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes, then I get a dark screen and can't see desktop. making it no has no effect. Then, I reinstalled Lion again with Chameleon 2,0 rc5-r753 and yes, now I get my native resolution of 1366x753 with 4MB of display but still Lion does not recognizes my ATI radeon HD5470. This is the excerpt from system report for graphics Display: Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 4 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x68e0 Revision ID: 0x0000 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1366 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes I have checked my Win 7 and the DeviceID is correct. I have attached the screen shot of About This Mac (I used Extra_MacBookPro8_1 to identify my pc as macbook pro). I have my wifi & sound working. Battery still not working despite of Voodoo battery. But I think main problem is the Graphics Card as I am not getting good graphics. I would love to get your help in this regard.
