RavynLaRoux
Hello everyone! I am new to the project and looking to install Mac OSX on my PC. There are a few catches, though, that I would like to check on with the experts to ensure that my hardware is compatible. The following is my system specification according to Speccy; Operating System MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology RAM 8.00 GB DDR3 @ 649MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8P67 (LGA1155) Graphics E2350 (1920x1080@60Hz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 Hard Drives 1954GB Hitachi Hitachi HUA723020ALA640 ATA Device (SATA) Optical Drives DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device ASUS DVD-E818A7T ATA Device Audio M-Audio FastTrack Pro Also, I am looking to install OSX on a USB harddrive, a WD MyBook that I bought a few years back. I'm wondering the following; Firstly, is it possible to install to a USB drive like this? Secondly, is it possible to install OSX -without- an existing OSX installation? I have no access to a Mac and thus cannot follow most of the guides I've found. Thanks so much! -Ravyn
