Hi everyone!

I've successfully installed retail Lion on Hp dm3 1010el. Now it's working quite well, with only minor problems (no mute and no 2 finger scroll), but I'd like to have sleep working.

I think it's a dsdt problem, I've tried a lot of fix (some from DSDTSE hacks list, from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...259288&st=0 post 5 and other threads) but with no success.

I use VoodooPowerMini for speedstep, is that a problem?(and if the answer is yes, how do I get native speedstep?)

Here is my clean DSDT.

Can someone help me? thanks!

thanks for help!

Here's the file, you will see my messy dsdt with a lot of (useless?) mods..

dsdt.pister.zip

remove SleepEnabler, VoodooMonitor, VoodooPowerMini

add in boot.plist

<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Thank you very much for you help! Now sleep work properly, but unfortunately it doesn't wake up.

When the notebook is in sleep, the power button led flashes, just like when it's in standby from windows, so I think this part is perfect.

When I press a key, all leds turn on for an instant, than they turn off and the pc seems shutted down.

I am also worried that the speedstep is not working, and the processor is stucked at 600mhz (instead of 1300), because my geekbench score is a half than normal, but I can't verify because I deleted VoodooMonitor.

Can you help me?

try it

dsdt.02.zip

NativePM

run on terminal

ioreg -lw0 | grep AICPMVers

First of all thank you very much for your continous help.

Run the command. No changes with the second DSDT. Still no speedstep.

Two things, just to be complete :

1 I have a modified AppleACPIPlatform for battery indicator

2 I use a patched kernel to avoid cpus=1 command at boot,

are they important? I tried your first dsdt even with the original kernel and cpus=1 command, but it's the same.

use the search forum

nativePM + USB built in = sleep/wake without kext

if it does not work

should you need something more

I'll try to fix the usb, I made it in my old dsdt (I think) now I'll apply in your.

Furthermore, I remember that with a Hp mini dsdt (I know, I shouldn't use others pc dsdts) sleep and wake work. Can it be useful? Here it is from my first thread

I fix your DSDT

Again, thanks.

The notebook goes to sleep, but doesn't wake up. "We" (you) made an important step.

I analized a little your dsdt, usb is already fixed, right?

I think the problem is in the power management of the cpu, because the speedstep is not working. But I have no idea how to fix it. I am testing original and patched kernel, same behaviour.

Any idea?

Hi again and sorry for being late. Finally with Smbios MacBookBpro7.1 speedstep works! (seen with voodoomonitor, now deleted, and with geekbench score). Now I have vanilla PM. And the notebook goes correctly to sleep.

But still no wake up. :thumbsup_anim:
