iATKOS S3 V2 installation problem

Hi everyone i have been attempting to install osx86 on my machine for just over a week now and i still seem to be getting nowhere. i am using the IATKOS S3 V2 boot cd. I managed to get the cd to boot using the command: -v arch=i386 busratio=17. After it starts the installation on my hard drive partition around the "14 minutes left mark, my pc just shuts down. The weird thing is the install completed on my external hdd (however this will not boot either because of "EBIOS read error: Device timeout Block 0x6402a Sectors 0 post-864081-1314302370_thumb.jpg) .

My specs are:

Gateway NV5942u

Intel core i3 m370 (2.4 GHZ)

4gb of ram (ddr3)

seagate momentus 500 GB hybrid hardrive

Radeon HD 5650 1GB of gddr3.

could it be that my pc is just not osx86 compatible?

Thanks in advance for any replies i may recieve.

I managed to install it on my hardrive without crashing but then it sais to reboot it. once i reboot it using the same commands to install it (-v arch=i386 busratio=17) it sais on screen:

Errors encountered while starting up the computer.

Pausing 5 seconds...

efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata

No SMBIOS replacement found.

Patched dmi table

No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI data as is

Starting Darwin x86

Then it crashes and my pc restarts. i have no idea what to do someone please help me. :)

First, you should try looking around on google to see if anyone has your same specs. Second, it was known that apple made some unsupported cpus as of 10.6.3 and up so your best bet is to download Hazard 10.6.1/10.6.2 AMD Intel and try that. Third, You might want to get tonymac's #####. This boots the kernel first giving you better results. I recommend starting with #####, then google, the Hazard. Good Luck

Thanks for the tip on ##### as it seems that it would work. The only problem is that using the ##### method it wants me to repartition my drive so i can set up a GUID partition. This means that i would lose my windows install. Does anyone know of any workarounds for this.

BTW if anyone does happen to come across this and has the same specs as me; you can get ##### to work using this command: "GraphicsEnabler=No" without quotations.
