Hi

I'm trying to install Windows XP on my Desktop PC(specs in signature), using parallels desktop 6. I can install parallels without any problems, but when I get to the point, where I have setup the virtual system, and is ready to install windows xp, I click on the button to start the virtual system it tells me that I need to enable hardware virtualization in my macs firmware.

Although hardware virtualization/virtualization technology has been enabled in my motherboards bios.

the SMBIOS of my system is iMac 12,1, and I'm using Chamleon 2.1 svn r1446 bootloader.

Hope someone can help me out on this

their are 2 things you can do

the first, is to uninstall completely parallels, then install the newest version, this solved my problem completely

bot if this still doesn't fix your problem, you can try either,

go to /Library/Parallels/Parallels Service.app/Contents/Kexts/10.6

and move it to /Library/Parallels/Parallels Service.app/Contents/Kexts, after that move, the kexts need to load on boot

but if it still persist, then you must load the kexts with terminal manually (or search for parallels launcher)
