MatzeOS86
Hello everyone. I hope that someone could help me with this very annoying problem. The issue is that the mouse hangs very often and after a few seconds it jumps a few inches. But not only the mouse hangs, the graphics acceleration lags as well. Thats the message that gets triggered in the moment of the lag and not only once: kernel: IOHIDSystem cursor update overdue. Resending. I've already deleted AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext, but that didn't solve my issue. Does anyone have a solution to this? Cheers Matze
MatzeOS86
Also I don't have this issue in safe mode. So I guess it's an Extension that doesn't get loaded in safe mode. But I don't know which one...
MatzeOS86
I've now installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a second partition and it's running without any issue. So it's definitely something with Lion... I've also googled the problem and seems to be a bug of Lion. But it's strange that I didn't had the problem before I upgraded my system. ludacrisvp
I've already deleted AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext, but that didn't solve my issue. I have never heard of deleting this kext, what is the benefit supposed to be?
Alwilly
I only get this when I plug in my HDMI out to external monitor and shut the laptop lid (My laptop turns off the display, but doesn't go to sleep in this case). The mouse does exactly that, only resolves itself when I open the laptop lid back up.
MatzeOS86
@ ludacrisvp: I can't tell you what the Extension does, but some guys, who had the same problem, were able to solve it by deleting this kext. Anyway I've found a workaround. I've deleted the Method in my DSDT which I've had added to enable native power management. Now NPM doesn't work anymore, but no more lags. Cheers Matze lags can happen when irqs are in PIC and TIMR section of dsdt. remove them , for sleep only internal usb in dsdt is most important. appleupstreamuserclient can make lags on nvidia cards, but it is safe to delete it, even for ati users. nobody needs this kext that osx loads all the time.
