I have used xMove to make a install partition on a usb disk, when i try to load it, it instantly reboots.

I've tested all the kernel flags i know:

-v -x bursratio=16 cpus=1 -f

Does anyone know what i can try to get the installer to boot properly? If you need more info just ask and ill provide.

Hi, wow...I was thinking of buy that laptop- instead I got a ASUS A52f- literally 3 hours ago...

Same procestsor - i3 napalm...Now I'm just wondering whether I need sandy bridge for a vanilla install ?

I could be the Integrated GPU from the i3 thats holding back the installer to boot, but i dont know for sure. I have seen some people who did manage to install with an Core i3 but they had external GPU's. I hope there is someone one this forum with more knowledge of this matter.

Its almost solved, seemed to be a problem with my bootloader. Now it doesn't reboot anymore, but it seems to hang at "Waiting for DSMOS".

I searched for obvious error, and these three lines seem to point to a problem.

1. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::StartForReal - WatForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement)) timed out
2. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver
3. Waiting for DSMOS
