Lose connection with large files over internet

Hy all,

 

I want to ask if is something to resolve with large files transfers, especially with torrent I lose conection and I cannot reconect again but the only way is to restart my PC.

And i wonder is there something to edit in plist for conection to accept large files ?

 

Right now I have 10.6.8 Snow Leopard - cable WIRED - VIARHINE KEXT / With mobo P4M900M M7SE/ RTL8201CL

 

If there is somebody who knows ,please give an answer,
