g2david Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 How to make an USB bootable disc (My method) -------------------------------- I tried many different ways to do it and finally I have a mixed method to boot my PC: 1. Using myhack 4.1+ to create USB thumb drive (http://myhack.sojugarden.com/2011/08/myhack-2-0-rc4-1/) 2. Install "Extra_Lion_DP4.pkg.zip" on my thumb drive (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum ... e=post&id=94858) 3. Bootable now. (Press any key twice) Re: the only thing need to rename is /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist to /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist in order to bypass warning message. Post Installation ----------------- Follow this instruction: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256729 1. After reboot, you should have standard VGA, no sound, no network! Now probably, you need to backup the drive first. Because installing driver may corrupt your installation. In this case, you can restore from backup instead of install it all over again. Driver kexts ------------ 1. Sound. using VoodooHD sound drivers (http://www.kexts.com/'>http://www.kexts.com/) 2. Network using Marvell88E8056 (http://www.kexts.com/) 3.
