Random Audio Failure

Hi,

I just installed the Lion over my Snow Leopard, and it upgraded nicely, I following Maldon's method. But I noticed something, whenever I leave my machine on for some times, usually overnight or I lock it and went out for a while, then audio stop working.

Is not just no audio, iTunes stop playing song (no error, just the song won't play, though it showing play), MPlayerX stop playing video (the video just paused there, though showing play), no audio from browser everything, and I have to reboot to make it work again.

I tried to install latest VoohooHDA kext , but that one made the audio quality worst, so I revert back to my older version.

Any idea?

Update:

The problem occur no matter I'm using it or leaving it idle, it just happen after couple of hours.

I found exact same problem people posted in Apple forum, and it actually help me get around this without rebooting, is to run sudo killall coreaudiod, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/322078...15&tstart=0

Still hope for a permanent fix though.
