In display Preferences you will see in Arrangement 2 displays. One 1920x1080 and one 800x600. *Performance is about 44% below Windows 7 performances. Cinebench 11.5 64bit. -Mic built in and external works but input volume is to low even when set to maximum. *External source auto witches works but passes through the input to the speakers. -Touchpad: *Tracking speed is not fast enough. *Not as smooth as in Windows 7 -Fast user switching: * You can switch but you can not log off, shutdown or restart. *You have to switch back to the original user then for the other user to logoff by restarting. -Wifi 802.11B/G 802.11N not tested *Using the 10.6 kext. 10.7 has a newer kext. G73jh_Lion.zip I'm still working on the sleep problem. I fixed it once, but soon after I crashed and reinstalled the system and now I can't get it back. I'm pretty sure I can fix the problem. just need to find out the right method. There is one big problem that maybe you can help me: I can't fully function my 5870m. It always show ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024 MB in my system report and Geekbench, DVD Player are not working. I've tried almost everything，GE=y, ROM, DSDT... but no one works for me. I got: OS X CPU= 3.19 GPU= 23.60 Windows 7 64bit ultimate Twin Turbo Off CPU= 3.06 GPU= 39.25 Twin Turbo On CPU= 3.17 GPU= 41.89 If you can test your rig and post back that would be great! P.S. I can only boot sucessfully with GraphicsEnabler=No and graphics card recognised as radeon 5000. I get full resolution with opengl enabled but I know its not fully working because dvd player still crashes and I have some slowdowns in the gui sometimes. Also I test the framebuffer status with ioreg | grep ATY. No framebuffer loaded. The trick (thanks to machinist) might be to find the correct PCIRootUID value via ioreg -l | grep -15 "AppleACPIPCI" | grep "_UID" which will output a # (known values betw. 0 and 4, but higher values might appear) then enter that value into the org.chameleon plist as follows: <key>PCIRootUID</key> <string>ur#</string> also make sure you have the following entries in your plist <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>UrCardsDefauktFB</string> remove *ANY* EFI strings from device properties (best delete kex/string) save delete *any* grfx enablers from E/E and S/L/E delete extension (if present) AND (mandatory step here!) kernel caches, in Lion: /System/Library/Caches/Startup make sure you have a current Chameleon bootloader installed (e.g. via Chameleon Wizard, or Chimera) reboot see if EVERYTHING works (res. changes/ QE-CI e.g. by launching Chess/ multi-monitors/ DVD Player) PS: I need help making my ATI Saphire's HD 5450's HDMI Audio work: VID 1002 | DID AA01 | SubSys 00AA0100 (same as NOYFB's). Pchild Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 I have a working 10.6.8 install, trying to upgrade to 10.7.3 lion, but ###### fails to boot, "PCI configuration begin" Which is the exact same problem I had with 10.6.8 on my G73JH-RBBX05 (best buy edition), until i used a version of Chimera that had "ATI support". I stall at PCI configuration begin, every time. ***EDIT*** the solution to the PCI configuration begin on my G73JH was to install EvilAppleACPIPLatform.kext, EvilIOPCIFamily.kext, and PlatformUUID.kext into the Extra/Extensions directory of the USB thumb drive and it would allow me to boot.
