akiNikki
Hi! As the title, I have the sound problem with my Lion on my ASRock Z68 Extreme4 mobo. Whenever I use ##### to install the sound kexts the next time I can't boot. After the Chimera screen and after i press enter it will show the kexts loading but just a sec and it will reboot my pc. Over and over again. I did a clean installation, and try again, still no dice. So I really need some help from anyone who know how to work this out. My installation process using the xMove installer and that's all. Display, network all working as it should. I do however, notice during the bootup process there's information about loading HDAEnabler 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: Copyright (c) 2008 by Kabyl 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: 05/05/2008 Added SP-Audio support by Taruga 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: 03/07/2009 Compiled for 32/64-bit by Taruga 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: Copyright (c) 2008 by Kabyl 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: 05/05/2008 Added SP-Audio support by Taruga 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: mbinit: done [64 MB total pool size, (42/21) split] 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: Pthread support ABORTS when sync kernel primitives misused 8/7/11 2:25:08.000 PM kernel: HDAEnabler: 03/07/2009 Compiled for 32/64-bit by Taruga This message also appear again shortly after that. Thank you for anyone that can help. Appreciate them. EDIT: I got it working by using the ##### 3.8.0 and instead of installing the alc8xx i install the latest Voodo and wallah! Reboot and with sound! Fully accessible! Thank god. EDIT AGAIN: It did work but with those crackling sound. Ughh. After Googling and trial and error, I try editing the info.plist igain and imix to no vail. And then I found out about editing the MIDI setup. Changed to 44100Hz and it didn't work. And until I try playing around and select 2ch - 16 bit integer and boom! No crackle sound! Thank god again.
