treesmoker Posted August 6, 2011 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Right guys, I follow this guide word by word: HERE I'm using a D630 with NVIDIA Quadro graphics, and i've successfully partitioned, selected customize and selected all the drivers I need, however on reboot I don't the leopard desktop, I get the Mac first boot video (with no sound?) and then I get a screen saying that no keyboard was detected and even the touchpad isn't working. This is my very first go at a Hackintosh so i'm guessing i've messed something up. hopefully one of you expert Hackintosh-ers can explain what I can do to fix this. btw if I need to install .kext files can somebody write the commands I need to use in plain english. I've managed to get leopard installed with the keyboard and touchpad working, just by reinstalling and selecting the correct drivers during the customize screen. However i now have the problem that my hackbook just doesn't shutdown, all i get is the loading animation like it's trying to shutdown but never actually does. Have you ever experienced this? Have you ever experienced this? yes my laptop doesnt shut down or restart properly i have to manualy shut it down. you must be really new to this: my keyboard trakpad graphics card network card all dont work! thank usb! you have lots of problems it's trail and error realy! but your on leopard it's kinda old.. snow leopard is the newest most stable hackingtosh for pc's and soon there will be some distros for lion that will be great! just do with what you have! but your shutdown probleme could be solved with a kext called EVO REBOOT try it! keep on hacking! but i still recomend to install iaktos s3 v2 yours is like 2 years old maby more! Hey man, I took your advice and used the iATKoS s3 v2, much smoother installation and shutdown all works pukka! one more thing, how do I get the wireless working i've downloaded OSXtools x86, fixed the permissions then installed the drivers for the intel PRO 4965 that i got from HERE but just can't get it working afterwards, any idea's? limeycars Posted December 8, 2011 Share Posted December 8, 2011 New poster here. I fought with a D630/nvidia for several months, trying most every method I could find to install SL and then Lion. Finally, I had a straight-through, easy, stable and fully-functional installation of Lion using the MyHack method and the latest EDP from http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/797-d630nvidia-sl-failure-w-191-near-giving-up/. Hope it isn't considered bad form to link to a different board, but it seems they finally have a good install method for this most oddball hardware combination. Cheers!
