Hackintosh vs Retail Mac Pro

I know this sort of question gets asked a lot, but I can't seem to find a proper answer.

I'm looking to either build a Hackintosh with the same spec of a Mac Pro or just plain buying a Mac Pro.

Building the computer isn't a problem or getting hold of a retail DVD as I already own a Macbook Pro.

I'm just curious as to what the drawbacks are with the hackintosh, I've used OSx86 on a previous branded desktop but it didn't go too well and have used OS X on Virtualbox/Vmware.

The drawbacks I'm interested in are mostly software related, I think more or less things like updating or anything you need to take more time on compared to using the real Mac Pro.

Hopefully that makes sense, would be very grateful if someone has a short list or something :D
