Yay, received my BCM4322 today! Unfortunately it does not work on OSX 10.7 Lion, and I guess also not on 10.6 SL.

I have added the ven/dev ID's in appleairportbrcm43224.kext but it was no success. Then I removed them from appleairportbrcm4311.kext and still no luck. Finally I added a part to my DSDT to fix PCI binding, but still, no luck.

The devide is being displayed in lspci so that is ok, but it just doesn't get picked up my Mac OS X.

I need this card in a HP laptop because it's the only one that does not get blocked by the BIOS (every modding attempt failed so far). I see two options:

1. Find a way to get this card (to be precise BCM943224HMS) working under OSX.

2. Flash the ID's of another card to this one (is this even possible?)

Does anyone has some advice on my issue? I would really appreciate any suggestion!

Thanks in advance.

Yes there are some forums about whitelist bios patching since I dun have an hp can't say much to that matter, however can tell you the dw1510 works perfectly as airport extreme if you reflash it to subv=0x106B (apple) and the ID of subp=0x008E, with airdrop showing up in finder and everything. Some people have reflashed this card to subp 0x0087 and this worked fine except it cripples the card, because that is for older cards (which work on the same driver except for the PAN part, (airdrop).

I have not tried 0x008D however that may also work I dun want to keep reflashing my card so if someone that flashed 0x008D could please step forward?

The tape pin 20 trick may work for you, however the only surefire way for you to have this card work for you is do a whitelist bios patch google your particular hp model someone may already have patched your model's bios and some of those people will take requests.

http://prasys.info/2009/12/rebranding-broa...rds-as-airport/ is the tutorial for the rebranding download the ubuntu 9.10 cd iso and burn it, or use the pendrive linux app (need windows for that) to put it on usb recommend you do that persistent so you can keep using it, in case you need to flash a different card later.

good luck
