I am trying to install lion on an X58-SLI system with an i7-920 and a GTX570 graphics card.

I hear that with lion the 570 is supported and even if it was not I dont see why I could not just have the installer use some generic VESA driver.

my current method of install is a USB stick with OSX86ModUSB and a copy of lion I bought on a friends mac moved over via xmove.

after booting I get panic(cpu0 caller 0x55f2db): unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/Usres/nawcom/Builds/bootcd-1504.7.4\iokit\Kernel\IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1393

it should be noted that I do not have a working CD burner and so it would be nice if the installation method involved USB sticks only
