Deomitrus
I've been running 2x GFX cards with 4 monitors with great success for some time now. I would like to expand to more monitors, and I am wondering if it is possible to run 3 or 4 GFX cards in one computer. I've seen some folks running 2x PCIe cards and 1x PCI card, but I'd like to use all PCI express cards if possible. I'm not really picky as to what hardware/manufacturer/implementation method is used, as long as I can get hardware acceleration on all cards and everything is functioning properly, etc. Your thoughts? 3.14r2
Probably yes (provided PSU and MB supports such configuration). But just out of curiosity, how/what for you would use 6-8 displays?
an1r0n
Depending on what you require, there are Nvidia Quadro and ATI Eyefinity cards with 6 ports per one card. Maybe that's more convenient. I know Netkas made his 5870 eyefinity work in OSX. I've seen on aquamac and this forums the dual cards in use, not more. Not sure if somebody tried, but it makes sense to work with more than two cards. Cheers!
