Hi my hardware profile is in my Sig.

my system is up and running and pretty stable. Just trying iron out a few more wrinkles. I was trying to see if speed stepping is working and seems like it is not.

I downloaded SMC monitor am using the the FakeSMC and plugins from ##### 3.8. The versions are FakeSMC 3.1.0 Revision 493 and FakeSMC Plugins 3.1.0 Revision 493.

My SMC monitor does not show the frequencies of the CPU (i5-2500k) only the temp. I have also pasted my P and C states. the Vcore stays the same though...meaning there is no speed stepping going. Under P and C states all the states are listed...but I am not too sure what it means to have them listed like that in the picture.

Is SMC monitor not able to detect frequencies on the sandybridge processors yet? Also do other people have speed stepping working on their sandybridge builds? If so did you do anything special? I am using Tony's DSDT file along with active P and C states in the boot.plist file and the latest version of Chimera from ##### 3.8. Any help will be great. Screen shot of SMC monitor is below.

How can I tell these are working? Please advice. Thanks.

MSRDumper will show you the currently used P-State. See my sig.

The iMac12,2 definition in Lion currently only activates 16 + Turbo States, that's nothing we can change right now. Your best bet is using MacBookPro8,3.
