ASUS P6T Workstation Professional (Socket 1366 + X58) with 10.7?

Hey guys,

Not been here in a while but I'm looking at giving this another go at the start of a 10.X cycle!

I've had a look about before and information on my motherboard - Asus P6T Workstation Professional is a bit scarce. There is some info on other P6T boards (which I imagine can't be too different in terms of chipsets used on the boards) and for some reason loads of different Gigabyte boards.

So basically what I'm wondering you guys can help with is if you know what modifcations I'd need to do to OS X to make everything work.

Currently I have

ASUS P6T workstation Professional

Intel Core i7 920

6GB DDR3 1333MHz

NVIDIA GTX 460 768MB

As well as

Marvell SAS controller

Generic 2 port SATA controller

I'm not overly fussed about either of the last two mentioned working under OS X - I understand they're a bit of a niche so it's doubtful any work has been done on them.

Audio is Realtek, Ethernet is Marvell, Storage is Intel ICH10r

Is all the stuff I'd need available for Lion yet or will I still have to wait a bit?

Thanks very much in advance for any help you can give me

you can get a pack there with most of what you need for lion. You will need voodoohda for sound but everything else is good to go. I have a P6T and it works like a beast with 10.7

Specs below

Great.

Issue is - I don't have an optical Drive.

I currently have 10.6 in a VM, a 16GB and a 512MB usb stick #####, #####, empire EFI, Snow Darwin etc.

Any way I can take a 10.7 dmg or iso and put it on a usb stick? I've seen some different ways but not sure which is best. Thanks.

Infact - link you gave - Guy used a disc for OS X install DVD - i have teh image so just use that inside my VM and do it that way, should work...

Might give it a shot in a bit.

no need for the optical drive ,use the USB and add all the kexts then boot with it.

i installed SL on my Friends Rampage Ex.2 along ago and i believe Lion won't be that hard to install.

Tried using MyHack 2.0 to put the SL and Lion install dvd on, replaced the extra folder like the guy in the video did from JaS link - I get a few different errors depending on what I do...

CI CONFIGURATION BEGIN

Or some other thing before that with 88:11 or something,

or Appleusbcdc start init device failed,

or still waiting on root device

Not 100% On what I should do ):
