yelloguy
When I had Snow Leopard, I ordered a gigabit network card that was plug and play. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16833166017 It is a Rosewill Realtek based card and I put it in the machine and it was recognized and worked well since. Now that I upgraded to Lion, it doesn't even recognize the card. Thankfully my on board NIC still works but it is not Gigabit. As a part of the upgrade, I had to change a bunch of Extra/Extensions on my boot partition and I am not sure which one caused it. Any pointers would be appreciated. I suspect my problem with App Store is also because of this. I have added the EthernetBuiltin=Yes to the com.boot.apple.plist in my Chameleon partition. But I still get unable to login. You could always try the 10.6 driver from Realtek's website: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloads...p;GetDown=false Scroll to the bottom of the page. yelloguy
You could always try the 10.6 driver from Realtek's website: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloads...p;GetDown=false Scroll to the bottom of the page. Thanks so much for the link. That worked. Even though the driver shown was for PCI Express and my card is PCI, it worked. I looked for the PCI card for my chipset RTL8110SC but they did not have anything. So I decided to try the driver you linked. A simple install and reboot later, the network card was detected and the card connected fine. However, App Store still gives me the error: Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance. Maybe I should send the hackintosh details to Apple to see if they can troubleshoot. ;-)
yelloguy
Quick update. Doing this fixed the problem with App Store: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=154695#p154695 NetworkInterfaces.plist is in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder.
