about every 3rd time i boot up i get this kernel panic. but its not always cpu 2 tho, it changes to cpu 1, cpu 3, cpu 4. weird huh?

I get the same thing. I seems about every 10 shutdowns I get a kernel panic. I also get a CMOS reset on my hard drive boot priority every shutdown, too. I wish I could be some help, but I wanted you to know that you aren't alone out there.
