neomatrix125 Posted July 23, 2011 Share Posted July 23, 2011 I've been trying to install Mac OS Lion on my Hackintosh and I've been getting a Package extraction error with essentials.pkg. Someone has told me that it was due to a modified OSInstall.mpkg, but I cannot install without the modified OSInstall.mpkg otherwise is says that it cannot be installed on this computer. I have recently tried Installing Mac OS Lion on a VMWare VM, the Installation Media was prepared with Kakewalk and I managed to get in and start installing. But again it has a problem extracting a package with the same error word for word, except it's with a different package file. I have no Idea what's causing this, I'm using the GM version of Lion.
