Hi guys

some great info out there, I've been trying for a couple weeks to do a fresh install of Lion on my hardware. I have been reading and reading, but I still just can't lick this problem I have.

I have had the PC working perfectly with windows (booting fine too), and I have had OSX 10.7 working great (network/sound still TBA) but I have only ever been able to get into the mac side of things when I use a CD/USB Booting system. (Many seem to work)..

Current Status:

-Completely Formatted the Drive into 2 fresh partitions. Added a blank 200GB section at the end of the 2TB HDD for later use

-Installed Lion as per Guide on USB: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256729

-Require USB in PC to boot to the Lion Intall

Current Error

So without the USB in (to boot from), in Bios I get the:

Loading Operating System...

.....................

boot0: error

Which tells me I still havent set a boot partition

See picture: http://cl.ly/021m0r0U2w1s0u31122X

Im pretty stuck, Ive tried a number of times. Ive gone through ##### many times.

Im not sure how to configure any Chameleon/Chimera options, as I cant see them anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Other Attempts

I have tried this guide to fix the boot0 error, (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22844), but I keep getting another error here: http://cl.ly/0i3H0p3u293U12052L3C

Later Plans

I have the later intention of installing win7 as per this guide(http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=261793) but I want to have Mac OS 10.7 working first.

I tried the Chameleon package (Chameleon v2.0-RC5 Lion.pkg), went through the full installed successfully, with the settings below.

Outcome: failed, still got the Loading Operating System... .................

I tried Chimera (latest from TonyMac, made 25/05/2011), installed to correct target disk:

Outcome:

Outcome: failed, still got the Loading Operating System... ................. (boot0 error)

The boot works perfectly when done from USB,

Is there something that I am missing? No extra config for either?

Hi Guys

Im still having a lot of trouble having both 10.7 and win7 on the same HDD.

I have followed all the recent Lion guides available, and still havent got the bootloader bit working.

I have tried both GUID and MBR now.

Mac and Windows are behaving fine. The problem is the bootloader. I am unable to install a bootlodaer (Chimera/Chameleon) that even seems to affect the computer. To boot into mac I need a boot USB (TonyMac method, tried Kakewalk too).

Is there something I'm missing to install the bootloader, I have been going through the whole ##### method, and a bootloader doesnt seem to get installed ;)

help!

I had same problem like yours few days ago, took me long time to get it going but now everything working good.

b0, b1 errors etc.

what i had to do is to start all over, delete all partitions cept for windows 7. Make a new partition of whatever size you want, format it ntsf. Then install Lion on to the new partition and run the chameleon rc5 r1083 (new version avail). reboot and should be fine. you can make more than 2 partitions but make sure only 2 are formated (dont assign any drive letters), when everything is good, you can go back to windows and format the 3rd partition for fat32 or whatever you want on it.

I have Lepard, Win7, Lion all on 1 HD all working perfectly.
