Boot 'physical' osx86 installation from VirtualBox?

Hi,

I have a successful installation of macos on a physical partition in my intel pc. Currently I can dual boot to osx86 or linux (on another partition) when I turn on the computer. My question is if it is possible to run the installed osx86 from within Virtual Box. That is, I want to boot into Linux, launch Virtualbox, and boot the osx86 system that is installed in the other partition.

I know this might seem strange, but I find it useful to boot into osx86 for demanding tasks, and use it within VirtualBox for just running a lightweight macos application for example, since most of the time I'm in linux. I already did this once but using windows as guest.

Just to stress that I'm not asking for information on installing osx86 on virtual box, which I already know it is possible from what I read. I want to boot into existing physical partition.

I already did some steps on this direction but currently I'm stuck. If this is not complete nonsense I can give you more details.

I tried really hard to find an answer to this question on the web, but I think I don't know the right search terms...

Thanks a lot for reading this :P

Marco
