sluzbenik Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 I managed to get a Hackintosh up (Gigabte X58-UD3R) with my old, old Radeon 1900xt. I left it alone for months, because I didn't want to have to change cards whenever I wanted to boot my Mac. I managed to get my current 6850 to work with the new kexts that have been floating around. Anyway, I'm not positive I did everything right, so I want to do it again. Is it possible to install with a Radeon 6xxx series? I can get to a bootloader ok, after the Apple comes, the fan goes 100% and then all fails. I don't care if I have to boot in 640x480, as long as it works. My second question is...how can I tell if I screwed it up the first time? I meant to use a DSDT solution, using [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], but I'm not sure I am running a DSDT or if I used the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] install method.
