Hello!

I just installed iAtkos S3 v2 on my PC, and everything works great. I wanted to update to 10.6.8 however, as 10.6.3 is pretty out dated. I know that there is a specific way of doing this via combo updates and a package called #####, but I was wondering if anyone could say a step by step guide how to update sucessfully. I really dont want to try it on my own as I am a bit unsure whether the update process is the same for me since I installed via a distro and now the official snow leopard install disc on my PC.

I'm also sorry if this was posted somewhere, I did my best to look everywhere but I couldn't find help anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

If you still have a problem with updating (or un-surety ;) ), look at my post there. I've detailed how to do it.

Post your Graphics Card Model here please.

I have an iATKOS S3 v2 install that used an EFI string for my eVGA 256MB GeForce 8600 GTS card that worked fine up through the 10.6.7 update, but 10.6.8 yields corrupted video using the same EFI string in apple.com.Boot.plist. I have the Chameleon 2.0_RC4 bootloader and have tried using the GraphicsEnabler option as well as NVEnabler, but nothing seems to work. NVDANV50Hal.kext loads during boot, though. I've also tried alternate EFI strings, but only end up w/ corrupted video. The HCL shows another 8600 GTS card working fine in 10.6.8 w/ GraphicsEnabler or NVEnabler, so I'm wondering if I have to update my Chameleon bootloader or if there's a newer version of NVEnabler I need to find???
