Problems with current LAN network on a functional hackintosh

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any solution to my network problem.

I'm currently running on a Asus p6t deluxe v2 MOBO. My network works. its functional. I was able to achieve this through editing kexts using tutorials found on this and other boards. My mobo is directly connected to the LAN which is interfacing with a router. The router is not a problem as I run windows on the same router(and computer) fine.

However the problem I have is that there is a fairly consistent drag on its internet speed. Specifically when pinging (or whathaveyou) a new website/url. As an example, i would say that when browsing a forum, or a news website, where one stays for a little while in the same url, the speed is passable. But for instance when doing an image search, where im constantly accessing new websites, this drag becomes quite pronounced.

Its not a browser issue, and in fact I have monitored little snitch to see what its doing, and frequently there are long delays of simply no action before the program decides to start to execute the command. Atleast that is only what I can guess.

Therefore does anyone think this problem can be solved by using a new network card? if so what might be suggested for best compatibility with the 10.7.

Thanks!
