If i create an install partition from this tutorial and make a dmg image off of it.

Then burn the image to a DVD will that dvd boot?

If this approach won't work then how do i make a bootable Lion DVD? :)

The thing is that when i follow the above guide, and then remove the Snow Leo partition Lion refuses to boot..

restoring working usb install stick to dvd from disk utility gives a OSX DVD which is unbeatable.. found out with a Snow Leo USB I made.

On the other hand USb stick is way faster to install - instead of spinning and reading the sectors, the flash drive boots instantly on my machine.

Inserting the Lion USB stick, powering up the laptop brings me to the installation screen in under 20 seconds.

the actual installation process takes around 20-25 minutes maximum. Then another boot from it, installing chameleon and kexts, reboot = complete mackintosh done in 40 minutes until I am in a working desktop with all hardware working.

So, this means that 'Bootable USB/HDD Partition' -> 'Bootable DVD' = TRUE ?

Thanks for all the input though i've been suspicious of having my HDD infected with MBR rootkit/TDSS.

So that's why an install partition is of no use to me, and i don't have a usb stick :( :( .

Also Win7 screws with me byt ignoring the fact that i install Chameleon in SnoLeo after installing W7 ;) .

Booting SnoLeo with iAtkosS3V2 which has an older version of Chameleon booting the DVD.
