Hi dudes, sorry bothering but I put this subject here because it's more a post installation problem that an installation one ...

Well I installed Lion on hard drive 1 and I've got Windows 7 on hard drive 2 (can't make a working dual boot by the way ...)

Lion works great, windows 7 too but when using Windows 7, after I can not boot Lion anymore ... it just hangs at the "PCI configuration begins" ... In order to make it work, I need to unplug hard drive 3 where no operating system is installed ... weird isn't it ?

After that, Lion works until I boot Windows 7 and then, Lion won't boot anymore ... until I plug (this time) hard drive 3 ...

Is there something to do ?

It really pisses me off ...

Thanks.

It seems it's working when i switch off the system.

I mean :

Windows 7 > Reboot > Lion : it hangs, it does not work

Windows 7 > Switch OFF > Switch ON > Lion : it works, Lion's loading nice ...

weird ... really ...

you suffer from 2 Lion problems :

first your BIOS resets each time OSX does a reboot - to solve this you put Elliotforcelegacy.kext into your /S/L/E folder, repair permissions and reboot. Now the settings in BIOS for boot order, devices and so on will be kept. Alternative is a good DSDT.aml with methods inserted ,but the RTC next solution is way simpler to manage..

second : If Lion hangs at "Pci configuration begins", you can either exchange AppleACPI and ApplePCI kexts with the ones from 10.6.7 ( also needed for Voodoobattery to work in Lion ) OR boot Lion with the flag "npci=0x2000".

visit my Lion Guide ( see signature ) for the kexts. Download the Batterypack and the Elliotforcelegacy. If you have no laptop you can delete voodoo battery.Kext - the other 3 kexts, acpi, pci and legacyrtc are only of interest. All into /S/L/E, use kextutility 2.5 Lion , also downloadable from my guide to repair permissions.

Report back if this helped.
