I just built a new rig around the Asus P8Z68-V Pro. i7-2600k. 16 GB memory.

Have tried a few installs, the only thing I could get to work was ##### : I now have a 10.6.0 Snow Leopard install on a random hard drive with no gfx, no ethernet, no sound.

Does anyone have this board running with Lion? Can I get some insight on what you did to get it up and running?

Thanks!

What error messages are you getting?

Any attempt at install Lion, booting for a Lion DVD or USB drive results in an immediate KP and reboot.

Tried multiple boot loaders - the only thing that seems to work is #####, and only with Snow Leopard (10.6.0).

I know lots of people are running Lion with the new Intel Z68 boards, I just haven't been able to track down how. A little frustrated, but all part of the fun ...

It is not booting issue as I see it .. if you put it into auto overclock, it will try to find the best overclock setting, hence, the "reboot". Best is to set the overclock setting manually..

Anyway, I've audio working .. but I haven't check the speedstep and sleep yet.

I've just installed Lion GM on mine. I was using the guide found in Andy's thread:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=261312

Straight forward, not KP up till now. I haven't got my sound and sleep to work just yet. Probably need to install few extensions in the /E/E directory to get 'em to work.

I used that guide...

Was not able to boot. Kp.

Then booted my other OS (10.6.7) and installed the "P8P67Pro" installer that is on Andy's guide and it boots now.

I'm starting to test it, but somethings are not working. DVD Player, Geekbench...

I know i'm using the DSDT from the P867Pro. I don´t have one for my P8Z68-Pro :)

Never used DSDT.

Guess I have to start to search for one DSDT or learn how to do it.

If anyone have DSDT for P8Z68-Pro it would be appreciated.

@Nuno, I don't have DVD drive, so I can't help much on that. What went wrong with Geekbench? Mine is working great, I'm using fresh install. On the DSDT, don't think you need it to get most of the thing running. Well, resorted to use NullCPUPowerManagement.kext .. and yes, that makes my GB result down from 15000 to 10839 (3.4GHz the most reported when using NCPM.kext). There was a patcher for SL, but I don't think it will work for Lion. I can live with whatever it is right now.

@CooSee, I've never seen any working DSDT file for this board :)
