I happen to have not the i3 or i7 models, but the one in the middle, the i5 model!

So is someone able to make a DSDT for the i5 and complete the DSDT collection for this laptop model?

First, I want to thank everyone who helped (androdev, MaLd0n,...) to be able install the Lion.

But I can not solve the problem of the touchpad.

I installed the kexts (AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext, VoodooPS2Controller.kext) in S / L / E, but does not work on 32bit or 64bit.

Is it necessary to change the DSDL file?

I appreciate any help.

@MaLd0n, is it possible to fix Speedstep and wake up from sleep for Dell 14R w/Core i3?

dsdt_stable_Dell_N14R.zip

dsdt.samsonluk.zip

add in boot.plist

<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>

remove NULL, evoreboot etc

look at the kextstat

Thanks MaLd0n,

Just applied your fixed dsdt, system can go to sleep - power light flashing slowly and fan turn off... but system still cannot return from sleep... After pushing the power button, I can hear DVD reading, power light turn solid but screen is blank and cannot ssh logon. I am on Lion GM and com.apple.Boot.plist modified as suggested:

<key>AtiConfig</key>

<string>Eulemur</string>

<key>GenerateCStates</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>GeneratePStates</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>Kernel</key>

<string>mach_kernel</string>

<key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string></string>

<key>Legacy Logo</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>Timeout</key>

<string>5</string>

<key>USBBusFix</key>

<string>No</string>

Kexts in /Extra/Extenstions:

AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext

FakeSMC.kext

IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext

IONetworkingFamily.kext

Additional Kexts in /S/L/E:

VoodooBattery.kext

VoodooPS2Controller.kext

AppleACPIPlatform.kext (replaced by the vesion from 10.6.7 to get VoodooBattery to work)

apart from the above all are vanilla kexts.

Attached below with send_me.zip stuff captured before/after applying the fixed for your reference:

send_me_Old.zip ---> Before apply your fixed DSDT

send_me_New.zip ---> After apply your fixed DSDT

BTW, how can I verify Speedstep is working or not?
