[GUIDE] Install Lion like normal Mac with some mods.

[HBP]

Phase 1:

Open Disk Utility and select your Snow leopord Drive (not the partition)

 

Click on partition Tab and then select your Snow leopard partition and hit the (+) to add a partition

Add a 5 GB partition to the end of the Drive.

 

right click on Lion Installer select show package contents

Open Contents, then SharedSupport, then mount InstallESD.dmg

 

Open Terminal and run

sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter.app/Contents/MacOS/DiskImageMounter /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg

 

back in Disk Utility, Select the 5 GB Partition and click restore tab

Restore BaseSystem.dmg to that partition

 

Phase 2:

open the newly restored BaseSystem partition and go to /System/Installation

Delete the link to Packages

copy Packages folder from Mac OS X Install ESD

 

using Kext Wizard install fakesmc.kext and any other Kexts needed into the System/Extentions of your new BaseSystem Drive

Copy your Extra folder from Snow leopard to your new BaseSystem Partition

in terminal copy mach_kernel from Mac OS X Install ESD to (5 gb partition)

 

Phase 3:

launch installer for osx like you were on a Mac

when it restarts

use chameleon to boot from 5 GB partition

Select Snow leopard drive as location to install it will say installation is in progress do you want to continue/resume and that it will not effect user info or files.

 

Have a fully working Lion Hack with a Recovery partition in case something goes wrong.
