nef Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 hello everyone this is my problem: I just updated to 10.6.8 and load the video kext from 10.6.2 and i got my resolution back (1280x800) but i can't get the translucent bar and quartz effects enabled, when i boot on 32 bits mode everything is working with quartz and all.... is there a way to enable quartz on gma x3100 running on 64 bits or i have to boot on 32 bit mode everytime? my system specs (copied from my toshiba model support page): Toshiba Satellite A305-S6852 Processor and Chipset 3 Intel ® Centrino ® Processor Technology featuring: • Intel ® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5750 o 2.0GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB • Mobile Intel ® GM965 Express Chipset • Integrated Wi-Fi ® compliant wireless LAN o Intel ® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g) Memory 4 • Configured with 3072MB PC5300 DDR2 SDRAM (both memory slots may be occupied).
