My computer specifications are as follows:

  • ASUS M2N68-AM+ (nForce 630a + GeForce 7025)
  • GeForce 7100GS Graphics (128 dedicated, 512 shared)
  • AMD Phenom 9600B (x4, 2.30 GHZ)
  • 2 GiB DDR2 SDRAM, 1066 MHZ, Dual Channel
  • 160 GiB class SATA hard drive
  • Optiarc 20x SuperMulti DVD+DL burner/reader

I am using the chameleon boot disc and a Snow Leopard 10.6.0 image restored to USB flash. I keep getting a kernel panic and it dawned on me I can't use the vanilla kernel. I need to know how to load a kernel to the drive from Windows. I'm using transmac for and messing around with the .dmgs or flash drive files.

Update: I have put a new kernel on the USB disk, installed properly. Yet, I still get the kernel panic error:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x297525) - if anything more is needed, don't hesitate to ask.
