howoarang
Hello, I have lapton Dell Latitude e6500 and Mac OSX Snow Leo installed 10.6.7. My CPU is Core 2 Duo Mobile T9600 @ 2,8GHz and have 4GB RAM Memory @ 800MHz, but in "About this Mac" I see Core 2 Duo @ 2,64GHz and Memory @ 761MHz. What is wrong? I have used dsdt.aml, too. TIMMAYOSX
I have the same CPU type, and RAM speed in my laptop, and it is displayed correctly in both 1.6.x and Lion. I do not use a dsdt.aml however. What do you have loaded in /Extra?
3.14r2
It's cosmetic defect. Try another boot loader and/or use adjusted SMBIOS.plist.

In extra I have these files: - com.apple.Boot.plist -> added info for booting - dsdt.aml -> for dell e6500 (for correct loading GPU driver and resolution) - Extensions folder (AHCIPortInjector, ATAPortInjector, Disabler, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector and JMicronATAInjector.kext) - Extensions.mkext
3.14r2
No SMBIOS.plist. Configure it, copy to /E and all should be OK.
howoarang
Please, could you tell me, how to do it? thanks!
Gringo Vermelho
There's an smbios.plist guide on Prasys' blog. Be sure to read the comments section. You should use a model identifier from a MacBook (Pro/Air/whatever) that has the same CPU family (Penryn) and similar (Intel?) chipset to yours. Bonus if you can find one with a similar video card too. You can use www.everymac.com to compare specs. There are plenty of example smbios.plists attached here on IM. Type smbios.plist in the search box above. Note that if you're using Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r1033 or higher, all instances of "manufacter" must be changed to "manufacturer" (you'll know what I mean once you're looking at an smbios.plist).
