tronica
I have DP4 running smooth, only issue is my video card. I read that others have the 8800GT working using the 'GraphicsEnabler=Yes' method, but i've yet to get that to work. I've tried NVenabler/64, NVInject, EFI string but to no avail. Could anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

For me, my 8500GT only worked when I used EFIStudio.

tronica
So i went through the motions again, completely reinstalling, and adding NVEnabler64, rebooted and to my amazement my 8800GT was recognized and working great. Now keep in mind i've tried this same exact scenario probably 5 times before and never worked. Luck? EDIT: Just remembered. Only difference was i used ##### to install NVEnabler64 this time. vamose
Using the kext called NVEnabler.kext and make sure to turn the switch on in Chamaleon prompt. I hope this helps. NVEnabler.kext.zip

MacFaceKing
My friend's 8800 works just fine with Lion. Shouldn't be a problem at all. I'm still wondering if it's even worth getting yet because of how new it is, you know? I hate being the guinea pig for new things. lol.
JoQ
This is what I did: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=261594 Benchmarked it and I got 3000 fps on OpenGL test. Looks like it's working perfectly. With both DVI's, one DVI->DVI and one DVI->HDMI. No glitches either. Only thing I noticed is that I get this message after Chameleon is loaded: "Filesize of /Extra/10de_0611.rom is bigger than expected! Truncating to 0x10000 Bytes!" Which I think is because the size of the rom is 128K instead of 64K that other Nvidia rom's are. It doesn't seem to affect anything tho, anyone else know if it does or how to get rid of the message? min3z
8800GT works natively. Only problem: when QC/QE is active, the Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing, meaning I can't view any flash content....

I don't have that problem. And no it does not work with two displays connected trough DVI without doing what I did.
min3z
I just did a fresh retail install. 8800gt is already recognized at setup. Dualscreen (1 Apple Cinema & 1 Lacie 20" connected to the DVI ports) is working flawlessly. But like I wrote, I cannot view any flash content unless i boot into safe mode
min3z
I just found out that Chrome is working flawlessly. The problem only occurs when using Safari or Firefox...
myradon
I just found out that Chrome is working flawlessly. The problem only occurs when using Safari or Firefox... I've got exactly the same thing with my 8800GTS 640MB with EFI-string. I included vcard-id to NVDANV50.kext and then rebuild mkext's Also got Safari reloads page few times and then boom "page can't be loaded yadayadayada" I read Flash also got major problems with real mac's running Lion. Tried the Flash Player 11b2 same problem but oddly Chrome shows version 10.3.
min3z
I finally found a F!"(/§& solution to this! Yeah \o/ Do as follow: 1. Install Chrome (if you haven't already, i used the current beta) 2. open any movie on youtube 3. right click/control click the movie, while it's playing and choose "settings" from the context-menu 4. the flash settings box will appear. unmark "hardware acceleration" and hit the "close" button. 5. Flash stuff should work now in Safari (it sometimes works in Firefox too but it crashes often). Works for me! cheers min3z
Vinnymac
I tried EFI Strings. Didn't work at all. I tried doing several boot options with GraphicsEnabler=yes. Didn't help. In the end I just found a topic on here about using NVEnabler.kext. So I went to kexts.com typed in nvenabler lion. Got the only one, people even mentioned the 8800gt in the comments and It worked flawlessly. no more 1024x768!
