ssprod
Greetings, intrigued as to whether or not either of the 2 posted install methods will apply to the latest Goldmaster release. Thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated. You can use this method here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256729 Worked like a charm for me with the GM, just follow all the instructions and you should have success. Dannydeman
I have a positive feeling my system will work just fine. I will use this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=260594 I have a CCC copy of my HDD, so I'm confident enough to try it

hyperduc
I am now up and running as well. This method works, except for the first boot into the installer I had to use ##### from a SL install on another drive. After that, I went through the rest of the instructions. I chose the extra folder matching the processor socket I have (iMac).

No problem: 1) right click on the Mac OS X Lion Installation.app icon 2) show contents 3) move to folder /Contents/SharedSupport 4) mout InstallESD.dmg by doubleclick 5) follow MaLdOn's instructions at topic 256729 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256729 from the first terminal command open /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg to the end and you should be fine. fgullama
You can use this method here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256729 Worked like a charm for me with the GM, just follow all the instructions and you should have success. This method worked great for me doing my initial 10.7 clean install as well. Thanks to the OP! To make the drive bootable and load drivers etc. post install, I decided to try the latest TonyMacX86 ##### instead. It went very well. All of my hardware is working correctly, just like in 10.6.8. Frank
