vkashat Posted June 26, 2011 Share Posted June 26, 2011 So like an idiot I did a system update to 10.6.8 without doing any kind of backup, research, etc. Now when I boot up, one second I see the apple logo, then next second my screen is flickering like crazy. I've tried reinstalling nvidia kexts using the restore feature in disk utility from my iatkos disc, and repairing permissions with no luck. I tried the fix in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=260749 still no luck. My computer is a velocity micro e2250, it has 8gb ram (but I always have to use maxmem=4096 to get it to boot), and a nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX.
