I have two volumes on my Mac.

1. Mac OS = 18 GB size with 5 GB free space

2. Mac OS 2 = 22 GB size with 7 GB free space

Recently I got a file of 9 GB to save in my Mac disk I can't. Although I have 12 GB of free space but can't utilize the space.

What should I do?

The drives that you have stated are extremely small today, a 9GB file is really not that large. You should really consider an upgrade to at least a 120GB HDD which only costs about £20-£30. If you do decide to you can use a program called Carbon Copy Cloner which is free. http://www.bombich.com/

This will let you copy your current installation of Mac OS to the new drive without having to reinstall the OS.

So if I understand correctly you have a 40GB hard drive with 2 instances of OS X on it. Is it an hackintosh or a real Mac?

Why do you need 2 instances of OS X? Can't you delete one (after backing up any data you might have on it) and resize the remaining one?

Besides, why is the title of your topic: "How can I make my Mac faster" when it is about partitions?

And finally, while your topics don't make much sense, you mention Stellar software 3 times in 5 posts.
