lifelike27 Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 I've seen fayen's article, talked to CharlieSheen (who uses Lion DP that I can't get a hold of) and read through numerous posts in the insanelymac and tonymacx86 forums and no one has a definite answer for getting QE/CI working in 10.6.7! I know there (might be) a way to get it to work with Lion kexts but I haven't seen any 100% success. I'm just tired of reading through posts and 20-30+ reinstallations of OS X every time something fails. =\ It would be nice also if someone could dumb it down for me as well! I've got a Dell Studio 1558 Core i7 (720QM) 1.6Ghz 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM ATI Mobility HD 5470 1GB (1366x768) (The much hated) Broadcom BCM4313 [14e4:4727] 500GB (7200 RPM) HDD Everything works except wireless (going to replace with DW1510) and QE/CI) From one post I read, if the ripple effect (when adding widget in the Dashboard) works that means CI works, if you press the 'i' in a Dashboard widget and you see a rotating animation that means QE works. If that's true, then I've got QE working, but not CI (white box around widget when added). When i click on Spotlight in the menu bar there's a white box there too which I believe is CI problem as well. Anyone, please! A working solution is all I want! No more re-installation!
