Hey everyone out there! I have a quick question regarding a custom build I would like to install 10.6.7 on. Let me give you the specs and maybe someone out there is nice enough to explain the best method to go about this. I have done a fair amount of reading and it seems that Gigabyte motherboards, my GA-G31-ES2L being one of them, are fairly easy to work with if you have a custom dsdt.

My specs:

CPU: Pentium E5800 3.2 GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31-ES2L

RAM: 4GB DDR2 PC6400

Graphics: Gigabyte GeForce GT220 1 GB

Hard Drive: 64 GB Kingston SSDNow V100 SSD

I chose these specs based off of the OSx86 Project HCL, so I know that all of them will work. I was thinking about doing the ##### + ##### method, but for that I need a dsdt.aml of my system. I am a bit confused on how I should do it. I did read a thread earlier about it, but they chose a different boot CD. I am sure that shouldn't matter, but just to be safe I wanted to ask others who are clearly more experienced than I.

I really appreciate any help that I can get. I know I need to patch it, but I would love if those steps could be fully outlined for me. I am new to Mac, but not computers, so one clear explanation should do wonders. Thanks again.

what rev board.. its at bottom of last pci slot corner of board. 1.0 and 1.1 work fine. 2.0 needs atheros ethernet kext.

gt a dsdt dumped and patched.

Thank you LatinMcG for your quick reply. I am not home right now, but I will check when I do. If it is a Rev 1.x, then you are saying I should use the dsdt patcher, put the dsdt file on my desktop, and then use the userDSDT option in ##### to install chameleon, kexts, and any necessary things?

Did you use the #####/##### method?
