TuTToWeB
Hi to all, I've installed Kalyway 10.5 leopard on my acer aspire 5610. It seems to work great, but I've got a problem with usbs peripherals. To be more precisely, when I plug something in, such as mouse or pen drives, they dont work until I reboot with them alread plugged in. is there a way to recognize usb stuffs on the fly, wihthout rebooting? thank you in advance
3.14r2
If you use a patched kernel you need to have a System.kext of the same version as kernel is. Some kernels come with a proper System.kext. It is only valid for patched kernels AFAIK. If you use vanilla kernel, the problem might be somewhere else. BTW there is a dedicated subforum for Asus notebooks/netbooks. It is probably a better place to ask.

Even though I'm quite advanced user in linux, I dont have any clue how to check the things you've said. I found System.kext in Extensions, but what am I supposed to do? Furthermore, I dont remember what kernel I've installed. Where can I check it?
