Install Snow Leopard on partitions with data

Hey all,

I want to install Mac OSX to my pc, since I like it very much on my laptop.

My computer has the following HDD setup:

- 2x250GB in Raid0 array (ICH10R) with Windows 7 installed

- 500GB as backup

- 1TB as backup

After some research it doesn't seem possible to make a new partition on my RAID array and install SL on that. My 500GB is nearly full and on my 1TB drive I have 300GB left (4th device in BIOS).

So I planned to install SL to my 1TB harddisc. I converted the MBR to GPT using gdisk without problems. Following this tutorial, I used the provided CD image and tried to install SL (from retail DVD). This is where the trouble begins.

Preparing a partition for SL works with no problems, but when resuming the installation and selecting my prepared partition it says something like:

"Mac OSX can't boot from this partition" and shows a yellow exclamation mark.

I did notice that SL sees my drives as external, not internal.

Things I tried to fix this:

- Modify the CD image with other kexts provided in the same thread as the tutorial.

- Add IOAHCIBlockStorageDevice.kext to the image. (turned external into internal, but the problem did not go away)

- Turning the 1TB hdd into hybrid MBR

- Booting with -x and -f flags

So, what can be done to fix this? I can't find anything that resembles this problem and the only thing that I haven't tried is to use an empty HDD. And I can't too, because I don't have enough free space for that.

I hope someone can help me out :)

Thanks in advance,

Unstoppable
