Changing Graphics Cards

Got given an old Nvidia 8800GTS to help me on my way to build up my Hackintosh, which I completed the other day and so far has been going well thanks to some input from here.

But I've always planned that as soon as I'd got some money spare, I would buy a better, more up to date graphics card anyway. My question is, that is it as easy as doing it on a PC, unplug the old one, plug in the new, and make sure the drivers are correct? Or is it a little more involved?

System is as follows...

Gigabyte G41M-ES2L Motherboard

2GB DDR2-6400 Kingston RAM

EVGA Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB

650W Coolermaster PSU

1TB Samsung HD

Sony Optiarc DVD writer

I'd probably be looking at an ATI 5770 as they seem reasonably cheap 2nd hand at the moment, or possibly an Nvidia GTX460 (if it's supported?). What would be the way to go about this? Or is it going to mean a new install? Or somewhere inbetween?

More or less so. Sure, there could be some issues, but usually a clean install is not needed.
