jtsymbo
Have a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook currently running Ubuntu 11.4. The motherboard is a nvidia MCP51 with AMD Turion 64x2 mobile cpu. The graphics chip is a nvidia C51 geforce 6150. Want to give OSx SL a shot if it can be done without losing too much of my hair. Been researching here Topic 109241and found some info on similar builds but not exactly my build. What distro should I be looking at? Also, do I need reformat my hard drive before I boot up the distro? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Jim
3.14r2
A bad combination (for OS X) of AMD (not supported by original OS X kernel) and not compatible VGA. I don't think it would be easy (if possible at all).
jtsymbo
Thanks 3.14r2 for your reply. Looks like there is little hope for OSx on my little hp laptop. Jim
